About the Wire

Reggae Sound Wire is an international publication focused on reggae music, artists, riddims, albums, tours, festivals, sound-system culture and the communities around the music.

Our editorial approach is source-led: official artist and label announcements, established media, festival and promoter information, and other verifiable public sources are used as the foundation for original reporting.

The Wire is deliberately international. Jamaica remains central to reggae history, but the coverage also follows the Bahamas, wider Caribbean, Europe, Africa, North and Latin America, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.
